Is alcohol permitted at the Dirty Tirtle?

I'm guessing you are talking about this. It's in the Rules. Not sure why anyone would even pose a question like this as alcohol should not be a part of any trail riding. Save it for camping or after you get home.

Thanks for posting rules...I never even thought about them having a website? Some places won't even let you bring it in the gate! My last and only trip to Badlands...27 of us turned around at the gate and went home. We had 30 plus cases of beer and they wanted us dispose of it or we were not permitted on the premises! We went back home and drank our beer at Haspin! I never asked for a sermon, and thats your business if you don't like to drink and ride, but i believe that in moderation, it's not a problem.

Remind me how 30+ cases of beer for 27 people is "moderation?" How is driving drunk on the trail different than driving drunk on the road?

When ya drink a case a day on routine basis. that is moderation. say ya drank a beer an hour during the normal 12 hour day. (easily within limits of the law) then you still have 12 beers left to finish off the night at the campsite. Nevermind, i'm sure i'm not the only lush on here! Just asked a question, got an answer. I either won't take alcohol or i won't go! If I were an ***, i'd take it, hide it, and drink it! I actually do like to abide by the rules. If i don't like them, i won't participate!
