D30 LP axles in HP housing ?

Can I use the axles out of the stock low pinion axle in a D30 high pinion axle from an XJ ?

Axles and carriers (lockers) are interchangable.

brakes, control arms, track bar, etc...all bolt right up as well...

the gears are really the only difference...
