Big Boy Brackets and the Back Seat
Hey guys, the family is getting bigger by the month, and we are planning on doing a lot more riding when it starts getting warmer again. So I've been looking at getting the Big Boy Brackets for the front seats to move them back 4". My question to the guys that have these, what did you do about the back seat? Is there anyway to move the backseat back some? Do they make the same type of bracket for the back seats?
Also, I'm 6'3", and believe 4" would be just about right for me, if you can't move the backseat any, can people even fit back there anymore with these brackets? Who has the best deal right now on these? Looking for ideas and suggestions, thanks!

I too at 6'3" was looking at the big boy brackets but when I installed my suspension seats the bracketry involved ended up moving the seat back about an inch and a half. That was just what the doctor ordered...any more than that and I'd be looking out the back windows when changing lanes
It is also much safer to move your knees away from the dash on a TJ...Many drivers involved in frontal impacts sustained severe foot and leg injuries...scary but something guys of our size need to keep in mind in these vehicles...As for the rear seat, I would think there could be safety issues with this, even though it would provide great room for rear seat passengers. I guess if your jeep is lifted enough there wouldn't be soo much worry with a rearender. I however have never heard about anyone that produces this kit. Good luck. |

How is it going? I was trying to figure out if these brackets (Big Boy Seat Brackets) will fit in a 91 Wrangler. I am 6'2" and it is really hard for me to get the clutch unless driving without the doors on. If the Big Boy brackets do not fit on a 91 does anyone know of a bracket that will.
