any one use a top prop?

i recently replaced my soft top with a bestop RAT. I love it but it tends to have a lot of slack and when it rains it really pools up on top and sags. i'm worried about it stretching so I was thinking about getting a top prop from q-tec. has anyone used one and what do you think?

I was having the same problem with my bikini top, got the prop top for xmas. I've been using it for about 2 years now and i like it. I run it with the regular soft top also.

well you have a TJ, but im assuming it would clamp right on to the bars like mine does. it might look a little strange with the top off, but i think its worth it. if you wanna see it i can send you some pics.

pvc sounds like a great idea or go to a boat store and ask them if they have any boat bows laying around. worth a try

I just use a small pine 1x2 cut to fit on top of the bars, it fits ok and keeps the rain off the top even when I just use the safari top

Boat stores have fiberglass or wood boat cover prop bars. Get a length of it and some mounting cups and trim to length. You could even spray paint it if need be, or let the wife/gf get involved and let her sew some vinyl sleeves for it. Thats what i did for my top. The fiberglass ones will probably last longer and resist warping.
