My boss came through with the basket for the Pelican Cooler. Can you believe they wanted 45-50 bucks for that?

I guess if you've got the money....

I saw one up close once and got to check it out. It was nice; don't think it was worth $10,000 though. But if you gave me one I'd take it. I don't know how well my four cylinder TJ would do pulling it; I'm sure my truck or KIA Sorento would have no issue with it. I'd be curious to see what a nice little off-road teardrop type trailer would cost in comparison.

I will say my wife might be more willing to go on extended Jeeping/camping trips if I had some sort of nice trailer (like this one above) to sleep in at night.

here is the company that makes those trailers: http://www.livinlite.com/
i've had one of the same style for about 5 years. got it before they got the jeep contract. excellent quality. only things on it that can rust are the coupler and the axle. everything else is aluminum, stainless steel, or marine grade vinyl really. i have the extended cargo carrier across the back and it's great. paid a little over $6k back then and worth every penny.

It looks like a nice setup and I'm sure is of high quality. The only problem for me is it appears not to have any storage to speak of. I could be wrong, but it looks like the camper top would take up a large portion of the tub and leave little room for any "supplies". I know for me, the reason I made my trailer was to be able to carry lots of stuff I can't put in the Jeep (or in addition to the Jeep). So, it would be great for camping if I had a larger Jeep to carry stuff in, but with my TJ, my trailer needs to be built for storage. Besides, my tent only takes up a 24" x 6" of space. That leaves a lot more room for an ice chest full of beer.

Rebel ATV Trailer

Awesome ATV Trailer. This video gave me a couple of ideas.
1) The Nerf Bar or Panel that would keep you going around a tree or rock, as to not let your trailer wheel stop you. From the front side of the trailer to the front of the wheel.

2) Aluminum Skid Plate. Either from the from the front of the trailer box to beneath the axle or all the way from front to back. The box tubing could hang up on obstacles.

Something's to consider?

Cool video; made me want to take the Jeep out four-wheeling!

I wonder if you could get some tubing and fab up something like this?

It was cool to see the "tree kicker" in action. I have thought about building something similar out of DOM that would also serve as a step.

Ohhh; a dual purpose thing. How about incorporating something like that a jerry can holder too along with it being a "tree kicker" (I guess that's what we're calling it now) if you didn't need it to also be a step?

We are finally negotiating to bring the Armor Rex 40" X 50" Small Compact Utility Trailer with 8" Tires and 12" Tires (832T and 832TA), it will take 2-3 months but since last time we import them was 3 years ago the prices have gone up and we wanted some feedback to see if the new prices are reasonable to even consider bringing them:

40" X 50" Small Compact Utility Trailer with 8" Tires: $277

40" X 50" Small Compact Utility Trailer with 12" Tires: $331

Any feedback is appreciated, you can also send me a private message, thanks.

You know the competitive landscape for these better than I, but IMHO ... The red trailers from Harbor Freight are about half this price with the 20% coupons they are always running. The triangulated tongue is worth a little extra but I believe that is the only significant difference.
