about to buy gears.. please help!

I'm about to buy 4.10 gears for my 97 tj sport dana 30. How do I figure out if I need the short pinion, crush sleeve, or reverse rotation?

Thanks!

Call the place you want to buy them from and ask?

The TJ's D30 is a standard rotation and it uses a crush sleeve. However, unless you are planning on installing the gears yourself and it doesn't sound like you are, I would have the installer provide all of the parts for warranty reasons. If you provide a shop the parts, they will only warranty their labor and if anything goes wrong, they'll just blame the parts you provided and want to charge you the labor costs again if the gears need to be replaced due to a screw-up during the installation they'll never own up to.
