Anyone done a 700r4 to a flipped dana 300??
been looking at the lo max kit for the 231, and at atlas t/case, both of which are a fortune...

scored a good deal on a short shaft dana 300, and for a whole lot less, could do a 4:1 dana 300, twin sticked and flipped. will do a rebuild at the same time, so be a new case practically..

if anyone has done it, what was the best adapter? is there a way to put the 27 spline input on the t/case so i dont need to tear into the tranny and change the output shaft to a 23 spline?

any input is greastly appreciated...

You can change the TC input shaft so it works with the stock 4x4 700r4 output shaft. Same thing I did to my Turbo 350. I bought my adapter from a guy who was making them on eBay... out of steel. Love it! Haven't seen him listing any for awhile though. Novak or Advance.. I'd probably go with Novak. What type of powerplant are you gonna run in front of this? If a stout V8 is in the plans, you'll want to swap to 32 spline outputs front and rear. That adds another $600 to the price... so, $600 for the Lomax kit, $600 for 32 spline outs, $100 for rebuild kit, $125 for twin stick, don't even know how much for the flip kit?.... you might be better off picking up an Atlas or other aftermarket TC...
