1998 jeep cherekee

My jeep wont transfer back from 4 wheel to 2 wheel. Stuck in 4 wheel. Any suggestions

4L from a stop. 4H can be done rolling.


Maybe you need to get underneath and help the linkage or disconnect it and then move the shifter arm in the tcase

Rock it back and forth while trying to shift it back to 2wd. Try it in Park and then try it in drive, then try it in reverse. Assuming it is not 4wd Low.
