1951 willy's pickup

guess whose got a new project? This bored 15 yr old. just bought a 1951 willys pickup for $1. it also has a title no holes in the body and it ran 3 yrs ago. can you say mothers day present? Any tips, tricks, concerns, hints, or problems i should look out for would be appreciated. Also where is a good place online to get parts for one of these?

Cool! Please post pics as you do your build/restore/whatever.
One of my neighbors has an old 40-something Willys Jeep sitting in the weeds. Every time I drive by I wanna throw money at him and take it, lol!

I feel the same way! Guy lives close to me and has a '53 M38a1 that he used as a hunting vechicle. Painted orange and all this other *&^%. Sad. So one day I emailed him and he said he would keep it and get it running. Took him 6 months to do that then he just threw it back in the ditch where it originally was! I've emailed him so much I think I annoyed him...Anyway OP we need pics!!!

What are your plans for it? Hopefully you'll restore to factory condition and not chop it up or anything...

plan to redo the paint (original color) Keeping the 4 cylinder engine. rebuilding the bed. do a wood floor for the bed like some oak or cherry stained and sealed of coarse. i also noticed it has the original Willys-Overland full floor mat. oh and the tires hold air, sitting on my trailer. not a bad buy for $1. getting rid of it was the guy i bought it from anniversary present for his wife
