01 xj grinding????

ok, so I have been slowly bringing this jeep back to life. I have an 01 jeep Cherokee sport. replaced a ton of parts, well, now I just replaced leaf springs because the rear was sagging so bad my tires would rub, in the process it pinched my brake line, and ripped my exhaust hanger off. so needless to say, new leafs were in order.

Ok, new leafs and new shocks in. Supposed to be oem replacement. (btw, torch and grinder with cut wheel was very handy). I noticed jeep is now slightly higher in back than front. To be expected I guess, its an old jeep. So front coils probably need replacing. Anyway, the problem is, now I'm getting slight vibration and grinding noise while barely hitting accelerator at most speeds, seems to go away when coasting or pushing accelerator harder. I never had these vibrations or noises before.

Please help. I am new to this jeep thing. Although could be an issue in any vehicle, I'm sure my issue is not just a jeep thing. any help would be great

I'd check the u-joints on the rear drive shaft. Raising the back end up has changed the angles those joints are running at. They may have been shot, but you didn't feel it because with the rear end lower the drive shaft is at a flatter angle, which puts less stress on the u-joints.
