Jeep Information

I am curious to see everyones input on turning a wagoneer into a 365 day adventure. I live in northern michigan, so nine months out of the year it's a living hell for any vehicle. I drive 20 miles to work, and getting there is important to me.

No, I don't own a wagon but I am obsessed with them and plan on buying one soon.

My goal is to achieve between 20 and 25 miles per gallon. The hard part is going about it.

The set up I'm planning consist of a Cummins 3.9L 4BT, A 5 or 6 speed trans, and low gears. Keeping it four wheel drive is an ongoing contradiction, since there's less that can go wrong only having one axle. Are there any gas setups that could deliver better power and efficiency?
