I usually go. Last year, I made a day trip out of it. Left home at 6AM, got back at 2 AM. LONG day.

I think Jeff was saying something about getting a banner for superstition but it didnt arrive in time, if memory serves me correct. Not sure if he's going to this though..

Ok, I'll be going. My boss told me I can have the time off.
I'll be heading up there the night before, and will be there all three days. Right now, my buddy James is going. He drives a lifted XJ. My younger brother may tag along. Xpress, he still has to see if he can get off, and then will need some convincing!

I already put in my request off. Not sure if the wife will be coming or not this year. She has hinted she would rather not. Will be hosting the Jeepaholics adult camp as usual off North Marina drive. probably in the same general area as last year. Wouldnt miss TDS for the world

OW?

So, I've can't say I've been there to where TDS has been, but what is it like out in there in terms of stores/gas/food, etc? I plan on getting a tent, and probably just camping out but I would like to know what all is out in there.

There is nothing at Truckhaven, per se. There are several food vendors that come for the Safari. Kinda like the Del Mar fair. There is usually a fund raising breakfast at the Salton City Senior Center on Sunday morning, but other than that your closest food, gas and other services is thae ARCO in Salton City, about 8 miles away.
