Aw, you guys put a lump in my throat right now.. Seriously. I didn't post that expecting that kind of responses. I'm stunned. I don't know what's going on yet until Monday morning. I'm sure it will be surgery. I don't know exactly when since it is elective.
I could use some help getting the 44 from OC unless you guys think a 2010 civic can pull a small enough trailer to get it. The project can sit in the garage until I heal if need be. I'm in no rush and it's not my DD. I simply do not borrow money from family or friends, but I do appreciate the getures. As for going completely out of my mind sitting/laying at home for 8 wks, yeah, I might need some help there. If someone is an AWESOME dog person, they could doggy sit my cockerspaniel now and then . 100% great in the house and is good with people. He's my best friend.

If @ 1st you don't succeed, grind it, hammer it, weld it, drink a beer and try again.

Your cocker looks a lot like mine. My wife and I would love to have him visit from time to time. Shei is an amazing lady, and so is Josie (our cocker). I have an Astro van that can easily carry your axle and it knows it's way around OC very well. Just has to be a Saturday afternoon or Sunday, since I work 6 days a week.

Ham radio is a great to waste, er, pass a lot of time. Think about getting a license. Tomorrow is a big ham radio swap meet at Ham Radio Outlet in Kearny Mesa. You might find a good deal on a rig you can listen to until you get a 'ticket'. There are lots of 4wheelers on it, even an off road net on Thursday nights. Just an idea for something better that the soaps.

thanks guys. I may have to take you up on that pickup in Yorba Linda. Gas and lunch will be on me. Hopefully it will be done before surgery. If not, your rig may need to have wheelchair access.

If @ 1st you don't succeed, grind it, hammer it, weld it, drink a beer and try again.

Yorba Linda, are your buying your axle from a store? I always see postings on Craigslist for a store up there.

went and saw my ortho today. He wants to go into my knee with a scope and look around w/a camera. Probably in the next 2 wks. Down time will also be about 2 wks. I wish he'd fix it while he's in there but he says he needs consent... Maybe I'll elect to be awake during the procedure and say go for it.. Save's me 2 wks of down time right?!

If you REALLY trust him, sign a consent form before he goes in. But he probably means consent from the insurance companies, now that I think about it.

Either way, let us know if you want some help with the dog, or anything else. We're all pulling for you.
