One bad thing about this trip was the amount of trash and beer cans tossed on the trails. I picked up some but it would have been easy to fill a couple of big bags with cans just from the area around sand dam. Not kidding, there was more junk than I've seen in the last four trips combined.
First, who needs to drink while participating in a dangerous activity? Second, there were hardly any jeeps out there; pretty much all buggies, quads and motorcycles. So unless there is another explaination I'm going to assume that non-jeep people are all pigs and slobs. When the SD4Wheeler event happens in January there are a few hundred jeeps out there and not nearly the mess.
These idiots are too stupid to realize the constant battle to keep public lands open.
When I got home I went to the rv dump at mission bay and there was a guy ahead of me with a dune buggy on a trailer that just came back form superstition. He commented on the trash as well. Funny thing though, when he left and made a hard turn out of the parking lot a bag of trash fell off his trailer but he didn't see it and kept going. At least it was brought back most of the way home.
