There's no shortage of hickory chips.

I fully expect to be out there again in a couple weeks.

I've been debating whether to go Saturday, after work, or just make it a day run on Sunday. Now, I know. SMOKER!!!!!!! Saturday it is. Put me down for 2.

Normally camp on wheeler at about mile post 5, but I doubt there will be many others out there so might stop a little sooner. The south side of the road is the least dusty.

For those that have not camped with me before, what I normally do for saturday is this. Smoke a hunk of meat of the appropriate size for the group. Along with that I'll have tortillas, chopped onions, salsa and some kind of slaw. Bring anything else you want in addition to that.

I always make a big morning pot of coffee and always turn on the frying pan for either eggs or pancakes; chime in on that if you like, or not.

Friday, I'll most likely stop at Costco on the way out and grab a pizza or two. I've gotten in the habit of leaving san diego with empty coolers and filling them out there. Costco and super wal mart are both about 17 miles from the campsite; 2-3 exits past Dunaway.

Also, for anyone that has not been here before there are no facilities at all.

One week from now we will be out breaking stuff.

As for lunch and the rest of the time, BYOF.

Heading out today about noon or so. Weather looks to be good.

I have been swamped at work all week and have not had time for any prep work so I'm not bringing the smoker; probably just get some brats or something.

My camper

1. The tank is there
2. It is technically on the bombing range
3. Seeing it get bombed while walking towards it is..... Startling from 500 yards away

Another trail for next time. This will take lots of careful consideration and multiple cameras.
