Stolen Jeep in El Cajon Last Night

Stolen
2002 Jeep Wrangler Silver and Black
Body Armor tire, gas, lift combo on the back.
Raiders Sticker on back window.
small dent left rear corner.
It has rack mounts but no rack on it. The front mounts look like inverted horns.
Whitedash board mod.

Thanks

It's probably in Mexico by now. Whenever there's a new fad down there (Jeep's are big down there right now) the thefts on our side of the border go up.

I live in Rancho San Diego (technically, El Cajon). I'll keep my eyes peeled for it.

Update

They found my jeep in Mexico today at about 12:30. It's on it's way back to SD.... note "Major Strip" was all they could tell me. Thanks for all that emailed me and had an open eye.

Only took 5 days to find it, that's pretty quick if you ask me. Hopefully it isn't as stripped as we're all thinking

Ditto

I had a truck stollen downtown and they found it stripped about a week later.
They didn't want my rims. They actually took the tires off and put some bald crap ones back on the wheels so they could dump it in Logan Hieghts.

They probably just took the add-ons, the hard top, the doors, the seats, the tires, the stereo, the wiper blades, the dash and the tire jack.
Hope he had good insurance coverage.

From the Owner of the jeep

Quote: From the Owner of the jeep

Well one last update to this story.... this is my jeep. It was a 2002 TJ Sport. I paid it off in April of 2010. It had about 105,000. Still had the original clutch... not sure how I pulled that off. The front right bearing was about to crap out on me and for some damn reason I had a overheating issue that was starting to take over.

I paid $20k for it and had invested about $3k. I got the call from the insurance company on Dec 27th and the gave me the amount they were going to pay me... $13,500. Happy to get that!

Sucks it was stolen from in front of my house. I feel like I am on watch, everytime I here a noise I am reaching for the shotgun. Now I just have to find a dependable replacement. Have a great year everyone.
