SD Fab shops

Alright does any one here know of a shop that does really quality welding? I need to extend my rear trackbar an inch, and since its suspension related I'm not comfortable enough to go to a buddies place use his welder to throw down some ugly boogers and get used to the welder by the time I finish this little project.

Basically I would get to the shop pull the track bar have them cut and extend it and throw it back on and go home.

I'm not looking for a generic off road shop that does everything. I'm more or less looking for a shop that does tube work all day long.

Thanks,
-James

I could talk to Blaine to see if he'd be willing to do it. I/we don't work for pizza & beer.

To put it mildly, Blaine is a master fabricator. He generally hangs out on the TJ Tech forum & goes by mrblaine.

Well it looks like you will have to put forth the money and watch Joe drink the beer. He welds pretty good too after a few anyways

After you get done paying for labor and materials to have a fab shop perform this work, you might as well just purchase a new one that suits your application and sell the old one. It's not too hard to cut and sleeve things. Just my $.02

What track bar are you running? What's the application?

the current set up is a RE1650 i'm sitting at about 3.5-4" of lift and i got that trackbar for 64 bucks off amazon i found out after it was too late to return it and it was installed that it is suppose to come with a bracket for the axle, when thats just about pointless when you could just have done that with a factory trackbar and bracket.

the shops i've talked to one wants to make a whoel new one which i doubt i would go with
second wanted a 100 bucks to do the work
3rd a race shop in el cajon wanted 55 to do the job.

it only needs to be 1-.75" longer to get more hiem engagement.
