Sounds good Kevin.

Today was filled with Sears headaches. I picked up a new gas dryer, got it home, hooked it up & started it only to smell smoke within about a minute. Like an electrical fire.

I quickly unplugged it & spent the next ~2.5 hours on the phone with the idiots at Sears. It was the worse customer service I have ever delt with!

Hey Kevin,

Forgive me for the junky cell phone pics but here's a couple pics I took inside Competitive Metals while they were cutting the steel plate for your rocker guards with a hydraulic shear.

The plate is now in good hands being bent 90* by the folks at Productive Sheet Metal.

Competitive Metals - All of our customers are winners.

I had them cut enough to make 2 sets of rockers, but I'm not 100% sure if the second set will be spoken for.

Kevin, I don't have a contact number for your friend who came down from Indio the other week when you came by. If you would be so kind as to call/contact him & let him know that I did make a second set anticipating he may want to make a set with us. If he would like to pass on this for now, that's fine. We didn't make any firm plans for me to have these made.

Rik, if these are not spoken for, you are more than welcome to use the "extra" set to build a set of nice rocker guards.

Material is 3/16"x10"x60" plate steel. First thing tomorrow morning all of the plate will have 90* bend (6" up x 4" under).

I have a stick of 1.5" x .120" wall HREW round tube to use as side steps. Plus I have some 3/16" x 3" flate plate steel to use for the sandwich plate inside the tub.

I also have some pre-made 90* 1.5" corner bends to use to attach the tube to the rockers. These are gunna come out real nice.

I agree!

The folks at CM were extreamly nice as well. I now have a new place to go metal shopping (just don't try to go by there over a major holiday weekend ).

Joe, I talked with Jim, and he decided to make his own set. So, what happens to the 2nd set is all up to you.

Cool. Thanks for checking.

If nobody chimes-in (Rik will have first dibs) I may make another set for myself. That, or keep the steel for down the road. Somebody with a TJ or YJ will eventually want to build a set.

I have a YJ with TJ flares. Is that going to work for those?
What is the design? (edit: I just read the previous post about it)
PM me or you have my cell number with the cost and when we can build them.
I need rocker guards for sure.
Thanks!!
