San Diego Ecology Auto Parts

I will need to be visiting some of the local Ecology yards here in San Diego, and I am wondering what the JeepForum verdict is concerning which yard is the best. I am looking to get some parts for my XJ.

If you have visited the different yards, please tell me which one you think has the best selection of Jeeps and what not.

Thanks!

Ecology is slim pickings when it comes to XJ's. Pick a part (or pull a part or pick your part or whatever the hell its called) right down from Ecology has tons of Cherokee's. They often have 1/2 price sales too. I recently pulled a NP231 and AW4 for a swap for my YJ from there. Tons to choose from.

yeah pick your part usually has a fair few XJs, though I have found that the big Ecology yard down in brownfield usually has alot of XJs in it too. (not the energy way location)

Ok to The Ecology by brown field, or the pick your part has the selection I want? Cool, thanks a lot guys!

As far as prices go, what will I have to shell out for an NP231, a Dana 30 and some new driveshafts?

I picked up a NP231 for $75 and a 8.8 rear axle for $130 on the half price days at pick a part. They have all their prices listed on their website.

It says 99 for a transfer case, nothing really for an axle. I guess I should be ok going with a good amount of cash.

Plastic works down there too. They add a few stupid fees. Environmental fee, sometimes a core fee, etc.
