does anyone know where to get YJ roll cage parts at? im looking for a part for a friend. on teh passenger side, there's the entension that goes from teh windshield to the cage. where that extension meets the cage, there's an insert with threaded ends on both sides that the extension sleaves over. i need that peice. midway jeep has sent the passenger side twice (non tapped non-the less) and i need drivers side. or!! i need a mill so i can extract the snapped off bolt. i have all the tools to extract, just not a mill anymore. dammit! LOL

I've started my Jeep shopping. Hoping to have something soon. Ideally I'll be in something this weekend. Looking at XJs and TJs

He appears to be one of those people that assume because they put $16,000 into their Jeep thats what they should get out of it. He'll never sell it for that price.

This would be sweet, but needs a bit more work....

What kind of price range are you looking to stay in for the TJ?
I'll keep my eyes out for one in this area.

I'm actually looking at XJs more than TJs. I've wanted one for a long time. I've actually seen a few XJs for well under $1,000 because the motor is crap. I happen to have a rebuilt 4.0 sitting in my garage that I was gonna drop in the CJ. So I may go that route. For a XJ I would probably stay south of $5,000.

I go out in that canyon with my buddy all the time! I know exactly where that "Help" rock is We usually go in from the east side, which is right by the nursery.

Any YJ guys interested in this F/R bumper combo? Has a pretty sweet cargo rack with 2 jerry can mounts and a trailer hitch receiver. Needs a fresh coat of paint but is in otherwise excellent shape. The lights were zip tied on by the PO. They are gone now.

We had a great run out there yesterday. Didn't see the help rocks though. I'd LOVE to have a knowledgable guide out there. Let me know when you are going and I'll meet you.

Happy trails,
Moose

Sometimes things go better than expected. Yesterday my washing machine stopped spinning. Tonight I discovered that it is just a bad safety switch. I have a paperclip jammed in it now for a trail repair. Or, should I order a new switch?

As long as YOU are the only one that will ever be near the machine during it's spin cycle, and you promise not to stick your hand in there while it's spinning....

Well, he left for WA state, so I doubt I'll be going soon. If I do tho, I'll keep you in mind!
P.S. the "help" rock is in your first vid. It's at the top of one of the main hills going into the canyon from the east.

What year was the last year to NOT have to get a smog check for vehicles?
