We had an issue with the spray gun at first but got it resolved. The frame is now sitting nice and cozy back in my garage looking good.

I am hoping to have both axles completed and installed by the weekend of the 12th.

That's really not a bad idea. That way if I broke down I could at least look at it.

It started out as a simple tire rotation.

If you're not in a big rush, I've got one still in installed in my TJ to be removed when I get my new Sony head unit. It's a Blaupunkt with CD player and it works fine. I may be getting the new Sony for father's day, not sure.

I dont mind waiting. Gives me more time to think of a good theft proof installation for it. I hate thieves.

How could you in any way LIKE thieves?

Removable faceplate head units are a good deterrent. Worthless without the faceplate. Weld a steel door over the top of it? Get a doberman to sit in the Jeep?
Good luck with keeping them out.

A camera mounted in the car connected to a DVR might help catch the a$sclown afterward.

In the console is the only solution. Or, fully removeable. There are tons of faceplaces available for cheap.

Good, and it has a removeable face plate too.

My Sony head unit had a chip that was in the faceplate. The stereo would not work with any other faceplate.
I agree about putting it in a Tuffy style console. Out of sight is always best.
Put an alarm contact on the console door. Wire it through a relay and install two really loud sirens under the dash, one under the hood. A strobe light in the interior would help too. Amseco makes inexpensive strobes and piezeo sirens. If you were closer, I have everything you need here in my garage. If you can wait until after the weekend after father's day, you can cruise on up and I'll help you install it. Easy job if you want.

Did I hear somebody say "modding party at Rik's house"?
