so does anybody know anything about fixing hot tubs? I've been working on mine for over a week and im still having problems. Its a del sol spa. when I fired it up it gave me a code FL 1 on the display panel. according to the manual this code means:
Pressure switch is not closed when the pump is activated. Heater is deactivated. Proper flow of water is inhibited or pressure switch has malfunctioned. Check for proper water level, pump is primed and/or clogged filter. Contact a qualified service technician.

So I ordered a new pressure switch first and tried that. same deal and the jets were not running at all. so I broke down and called someone. he came out and said my pump and motor were shot. so I ordered a new pump and motor and after a minor wiring snafu (the booklet that came with the pump had a different wiring diagram than the one thats actually on the pump) I got the new pump installed and wired correctly.

Now when I turn it on the low speed jets work and it cycles up. However the heater light is not coming on. I left it on over night and the water temp only rose 6 degrees. its still giving me the same code. and now when i try to activate the high speed jets it blows the fuse in the control panel.

So does anybody know about this stuff?

I went to the stealership today and they wanted $26.50 each, and you have to order them. Ebay has them much cheaper.

Scott/Jeff, i completely removed the shafts, except i forgot about the fork on the passenger side. that would probably help right.

Im very confused though, it was making a TON of noise, the sound of metal ratcheting against metal, but the oil is fine, and there are no metal shavings, and everything looks fine so far...

Maybe its not the locker after all.... maybe something like the shift fork, with that stupid posi lock thing that we did?

could be. I told ya, I tried the posi route but I kept snapping the forks, so I finally just tore the whole damn thing out and swapped in a one piece inner from an XJ and I've never looked back.

Thing is though, we did the posi lock after the very first time the axle started making the noise and it didnt do anything for the noise. When we added more thrust washers to hte locker it fixed it temporarily.

So do you want me to bring them with me tomorrow? Will you be at Jeff's wrenching party?

I'll be leaving Murrieta about 7-7:30. Takes me about an hour to get to SD.

Jeff, can you PM me your address so I know where I'm going?

I'm bringing Richie with me. We are going to tow my Jeep behind his truck. He needs to leave early, so I'll drive it home. Are we doing LW tomorrow?

Premo, we will be throwing that item you wanted into the back of his truck.

Betcha' wish your girlfriend was as dirty as my Jeep!

Any time. I'll be here all day. I have to return the tow dolly sometime in the afternoon.

question - how do i find those youtube videos of the dudes jeeping somewhere near here - was it wildcat canyon? lyons valley? - where the cops show up at the end? I remember the guy who posted them saying that he went offroading with the cop in question, so everybody got off with a warning or something

I can't find them again for the life of me!!

free or cheap
