I'll be there if I don't have my kids that weekend. They go with their mom for the 11th weekend, so I can go wheel at CC. She takes them every other weekend, so if the math works out....

Does anyone have one of these, or something like it?

Full mesh safari top for 92-95 YJ

I'm not sure it's what I want, or the standard fake denim one.
Does it block enough sun to keep your head from boiling?

The mesh ones are cheaper than the "denim" ones.

Your input is appreciated.

So Jeff, you inspired me to go out and clean my garage today.
I pulled both the Jeeps out, straightened up some toys into a big pile, and swept the floor.
Then it went downhill from there. It was such a beautiful spring day, I got distracted by my Jeep still having the hard top on.
So back into the garage, remove the bolts, hook it to the hoist, and install the soft top hardware.
I didn't put the soft top on, but it's ready for it.
So then I'm thinking, it's a nice day, I should go for a drive topless. So I drove all around town, through the river, couple easy hills, then back home.
More downhill from there. Now my son is standing there with tools in his hand and he put his Jeep back in the garage.
So we ended up working on his Jeep until dinner time.
I really did go out the door with every intention of cleaning/organizing today.
Oh well... there's tomorrow. Hope it's not sunny and beautiful again, kinda.

I have both the short bikini and the long safari mesh top for the LJ/TJ windshield bar. I love the safari for the LJ and I am willing to part with the Bikini (LJ/TJ). It blocks alot of the sun and also lets the heat out. I have the safari regular top for the LJ that I would part with too. Mesh rocks!!

The only thing I know is ... I know nothing!!

So does the mesh block out enough sun?
I need the full length 'cuz I have two little kids that ride in the back seat.
How much you wanting for the safari regular top? PM me.
If I end up getting the mesh one, my son could always use the regular one.

the mesh blocks alot of sun. add a little sunscreen for the little ones, since the sun comes in the sides. it seems cooler to me than the regular one. the regular top i have is a safari for an LJ. Its too long if its a TJ.

You don't think it would fit my roll bar (family style bar from 93 YJ)?
Wouldn't it just kinda' come down the bars in the back a bit?

I'm not sure what an LJ is, Long Jeep?

LJ is the TJ Unlimited. I can measure it to see exactly how long it is. I dont know how far down the bars it will go. I will let you know.

Just so I don't have to read all 42 pages of that thread;
Do you like it?
Does it block out enough sun for you?
How much are they to buy?
Would you pay that much for it?
Does it flap in the wind?

Enquiring minds want to know........

From the windshield bar it measures back 67". That is cold on the garage floor. Expect that it will stretch a little. Do you have the windshield bar attachment for the YJ? Is it the same as for the TJ?

If it is the rib that slides into a slotted channel on the windshield, yes.

I don't know if it will work with the YJ bar tho. It's a bit different than the TJ in the rear.
