I was thinking about that yesterday. How cool would it be to have some removable, external speakers with a good amp. I could play flight of the valkyries as we run trails.

If you can't find anyone in OC/LA area to help you install all that stuff give us a buzz. We are down in San Diego area but are willing to help any Jeeper that wants to come over for repairs. you can make a day of it, get to know new people, and plan for future runs.

Same goes for me.
I'm way out in the Temecula valley area, but would be happy to help you with it if you want to mosey out this way. I have plenty of tools and a big garage for modding.
Those guys in San Diego are always having modding GTGs too.
You could always do a search for an OC thread or start one. There are several people on here that are from that area.
Keep your eyes open here for trail runs. As a matter of fact there's a trail run tomorrow with easy to moderate adventure.

dude, i need my stuff installed. how much would a firestick antenna with mount and coaxial needed to connect to your CB cost?
I also already have the antenna like a TV antenna which bends, but I need to buy a fuse and adaptor and coaxial cable, should i just buy a firestick?

I think that I will be heading over to Jeff's (jbolty) to do some minor fixes on JEEPs (who's ever needs what). Who else can/will show up to have repair fun? He lives in the Clairmont area.

no im not planning on blasting movie, but that would be awesome wouldnt it. The reason I ask about the amp is because the cord from the PA is the open ended one which goes into the amp, it doesnt have a plugin to like a stereo system per se if you understand?
Ill show up, but when?

Go on down to the Mud Shack. Here's the address.
Mud Shack
6512 El Cajon Blvd # D
San Diego, CA 92115
(619) 464-6855
The old guy that works there is a little long-winded, so probably best to just try to get in and out. Got my Firestick there for like $19. A mount (tail light one) should be like 5-10. The cable is probably another $5 or so. Figure $30 and you're out the door. The 3' firestick is fine in every garage I've been in so far.
I've also purchased an antenna and cable at Radio Shack for even less. Their 4' white antenna was really good, but a little tall for normal parking garages.
I saw no difference between the RS and Mud Shack/Firestick stuff. Both work great.

I stopped using the 4' (that white one in the pic) and bought a 3' firestick to get better clearance. Again, I don't see any difference between the two and they cost about the same.
The ArizonaRockyRoad mount is really nice and can be found at http://www.arizonarockyroad.com. It's like $25 and the small tail-light mount from Mud Shack is $5-10 if I remember correctly.
Microphone holder comes with the CB usually, but either place with have them for next to nothing.
Coax should be pretty cheap too at either place.

Ramona at 9am, correctomundo
A full-size should be ok but no guarantees
We tend to search out new trails on the fly so we'll work it out
What's the worst that could happen
