I posted this a week or so ago, but just in case you're not doing anything this weekend:
We'll be dry camping in Blair Valley with trips planned to explore Indian sites, take a hike up a mountain, we'll try to get up to Sandstone Canyon and see what's going on up there and go see some things few people ever see or even know exist.
This is a family weekend, everyone is welcome. There will be be more exploring than wheeling, and any wheeling will be pretty mild with a few challenges thrown in for fun making this a perfect beginner's weekend. A stock Jeep or similar rig will do fine although 4WD and aggressive all-terrain or off-road tread tires are required for soft sand and some slick rock areas.
This is a dry-camping area, there is a permanent potty close by for the faint at heart. Blair Valley is a dry lake bed with a lot of underground water so it tends to be several degrees cooler than the surrounding desert, weather should be perfect, warm days, cool nights by the camp fire and Jeff's hot wings.
We'll be heading out Friday afternoon. If you're coming out look for the RV with the Jeep flag flying and the yellow flashing light after dark, and of course the Jeeps.
Come on out and join us for a fun and relaxing weekend.
