Made a little progress yesterday. In between helping my friend buy a car, driving around in the car to cool off, sitting in front of the fan and looking for excuses to go to the store I found time to get the new d30 back in. Just have to hook up the drag link, put on the diff cover, steering stabilizer and the tires.

Next time one of you guys is here to give me a hand I need to check the toe in.

Turn it around and do the rear next.

Might be able to drop by today, still fighting the dizzies so I may just lay around in the sun and relax and watch y'all work. But then, may go to the beach and wait until late afternoon and it cools a bit to do Jeep work.

I'll bring my way cool easy to use no mess diff filler thing and see how it works

Haha, you can't check toe-in on the rear (of the Jeep anyways)....

I'm liking the beach idea.

I just got the tires on and the jack out. Sits nice and high in the front now, maybe slightly higher than the rear but I guess it will settle a little. I just changed out of my grubby clothes so I can move my car out of the way and I am dis-inclined to get dirty again, while it's hot.

Just going to turn the jeep around and face it the other way so I can work on the rear, then maybe start again later today. SYE is supposed to be here tomorrow.

Much cooler and the views are nice. Its about 70 miles from me, there is a bunch of tent and rv camping lake side as well as along the trails. Shook down/broke in my Tom Woods DS, perfect, you are going to love yours.

The 934's (heavy duty front coils) looks like they are for a ZJ and the 949's are for a TJ unlimited. OME shows different part numbers for the regular TJs.

Or am I missing something?

Same coils in physical size/dimensions, folks use the heavier springs to compensate for aftermarket bumpers, winches, tire carriers with gas cans oversize tires, the extra weight of trail gear etc...

basically, the "normal' springs would be too soft on Jeeps with all of that added on and they would sag

And tag, you're it, just called you...

And on a side note, driving down the I-5 right now in very heavy, thick fog, bizarre

so much for the beach

I lied. I did a little more. Pulled out the old D35, switched the tires on to the 8.8 and rolled it underneath.

Can't do anything else until I get the sye installed, so I can do the measurements.
