there is a gear/axle shop in kearney mesa, not sure of the name. It's off convoy sort of behind where ORW is. Also a couple of drive line shops in el cajon.

At the moment, Cash Reserves are at: Very Low

Used my bonus money for the antenna and CB upgrade.

The actual money I will be making will be coming who knows when, later. . . which is what I'm using to get the brake kits from Napa.

Otherwise I just have gas money right now, which when coupled with the fact Carla gets in on the 15th (Thursday)... ...means No Anza for Me.

Read all you can find on the D44A in the GC section. I see you have a post there. Check NAGCA.com for the D44A write up. This is a different animal than a regular D44.

Installation of said bearings usually about $300 and $125 for the install kit.

To bad you can't buy Government cheese. That stuff is good and melts easily for Nachos. Well at least 20+ years ago it did.

Holy crap either industrial metal supply is even more expensive than ever or prices have gone up. Went there on the way home, too late to pick through the scrap pile so I just grabbed a few bits and pieces for tabs and gussets and such. 22 lbs almost $40.

3" x 4" x 6' angle iron, they want $66 including $12 for cutting it.

I know the other places are a lot cheaper

Maybe I won't be making a bumper this weekend....

On a different note...keep an eye out for a newer set of 31" M/T. I'm either looking for a really good used set or might go with the Pep Boys special. With the buy 3 get the 4th free thing I would be out the door for $400 with 4 new. I'm still looking for more reviews on the Dakota M/T though.

Do I even qualify? I didn't have any taxes to file since I haven't worked [on the record] the whole year, don't own my own place, unmarried >.>

Or are they that nice?^_^

A) Side view mirrors are required correct?
B) Do they ever notice them not being on? (Need to install my windshield hinge adapter mounts; another item for the next repair party.)
C) Dare I take off my doors without them? (My friend has never been caught, and I have seen a couple of the marines going around mirror-less when they take off their doors.)

Nope, you get nada! You have to file a return. Who claims you on their taxes? Parents? If so, they get your $$$

Yes, a mirror on the drivers side is required.

Throw the mirror movers away if you ever wanna use the mirrors again(or sell them). You cannot see a thing with them mounted on the windshield hinge. Plus, getting those bolts out is the biggest PITA and is not worth the effort IMO.

I drive mine around without the doors and mirrors and haven't been stopped. Besides, you are already driving an illegal rig around anyway. You have no rear fender flairs I'm actually surprised you haven't been stopped for that!

Haha, I totally forgot that I had to have re-fender flares >.>

Sean has gone over a year without any. I think when he was at the O-side Cop Pot turning in a fix-it ticket all they said was "O by the way, get a mirror on or you'll get stopped". They didn't say anything about his flares, though he might have put a little rubber slice on to have an excuse.

I'd hope no one can claim me no more, otherwise my mom got the money, and that money got booze or dinner for her.

Oh to add on to what Jason said.

I actually don't use the side view mirrors in the Jeep, the wind alone knocks them off center so i can't ever see. I just turn my head and can see everything.

The guy I got it from bought the mirror movers (so i would make a profit) but why not just make it legal and useless?

How much could I get for them?

Edit: Due to circumstances in my friend's dad's naval career looks like come March we are moving to Maine. damn it now Im going to have to worry about my floor corroding away. But seriously that makes me really sad, I've lived my whole life here thus far that I can remember (when i was a baby i lived in Africa and Spain).
