Grandpappy, the ZJ have control arms as you probaply noticed when putting the pucks in. You wont get wheel hop with control arms.

Give me some more info on your shimmy/wobble. Speed/pot holes/turning. How many miles are on the pig. Yes, I call min a pig also.

well i have 235,000 miles on the rig the susupension looks all original nothing looked new. so i drove it around last night on the freeway and around town and i wasn't really able to get it to shake like it did early in the morning yesterday but i noticed that when i hit that pot hole thing or whatever it was, i had my wheels slightly turned to the left since the road mildly curved that way and i hit the pot whole or what not at about 45mph felt like the suspension kinda shock back inforth or the wheels flopped back in forth, nothing to major but a bit. other then that one incident i haven't noticed anything else speed bumps are find even at 15 mph and freeway was a nice ride no axle hop anywhere or death wobble or front end shake or shimmy. so maybe it was a one time thing. your thoughts?

Here is a write up on using a small compressor out of a cadillac to run an ARB. I knew we should have grabbed that one we saw. Next time at the JY: more fans, more fuse blocks, more relays and caddy compressors.

I want to quit my job and sell on ebay, fulltime.

Wasn't that the one in the Caddy we pulled those fuse blocks out of?

That is death wobble. At 2 inches of lift it's usually non existant but with the amount of milage you have.... It will happen again though. A steering stabilizer might help it out for awile but that just covers up what is really wrong. With the milage you have on the rig(pig), the bushings in the front will need to be replaced (upper/lower control arms and track bar) and the tie rod ends.

For me I didn't get DW until I went to 5 1/2" of lift with the pucks. I got lucky and just had to replace the TRE's wich cured the DW. It's real nice having tight steering. After the DW was fixed then I put the SS on.

Hmmm... maybe those set of pucks are prone to DW.

Now I just need to get it picked up.

At least he has some of my money.

My friend offered to go up there with me a week from saturday to get it but if anyone else feels the need to take a ride before hand and get it for me I will be happy to buy gas, travel snacks and a big thank you.

I have no fear that the guy will sell it out from under me so there is no problem with waiting BUT it would be nice to have it in hand.

Actually I have never been to big bear, so I would kind of like to check it out.

FYI. 85 miles anahiem to big bear, 145 miles SD to big bear.

My former boss has a cabin there and offered it to me anytime I want to go up. Maybe a little wheeling trip is in order this summer.
