Good luck with the rubicon unlimited! Are you going to a dealership? if so which one?

Carvacre Trail

Thanks Jeff and Patrick for a fun time out at Carvacre. What a nice trail and so close to home. It was also fun to watch a "brand new" LJ do its thing. Not only did it have dealer plates still- but less than 100 miles on the odometer. I didn't take too many pics- sorry.

Dave, thanks again for takin us out and showing us the ropes. You are absolutely fearless! The next trip I plan your coming too. And what was up with Jeff? He was rockin it too! I loved seeing him scrape up his brand new unlimited! Jeff your crazy I love it! Once you lift your rig we can't call you the shoveler anymore. All 3 of us should definately plan something for mid Jan. And I don't know who I should talk to about that trail rating, but that was definately NOT a green run. Thanks guys that was a lot of fun.

yo i'm interesed in a san diego run in january too....

and speaking of trail ratings, there is this trail up near here that is rated tripple black diamond. so the first time i'm looking at it i'm like we can easily get up what we see - it can't be that hard. ok after finishing the trail i'm like "dude, there as no way that was triple black diamond, tht was at most intermdeiate"....

Great time,

Dave thanks for posting the pic (They always look more mild)

Patrick it's got 157 miles on it now....so its offically a used car haha....

I had a blast I'm down for more runs. I might have next Sunday free if anyone wants to go anywhere (I know your not around until the 9th Patrick but I think we should see other people.) (HA HA HA)

Let me know whats up with your shock and its affinity for releasing fluids.

And Pat, for the future, Jeeps like to be less than vertical most of the time (Thought you were a gonner)

Thanks for going everyone and hope to do it again soon.

Things learned...

Yup you need a belly up on an Unlimited Rubicon.
Jeeps can do way more than I knew stock.
The rubber things on the end of the bumpers are for looks.
Don't always stop when you hear scraping.
Dave is crazy.
Patrick's jeep is huge.
Most Jeeps in SD have no natural pinstripes (Mine does)

Thats it for now.

Dave

P.S. - You're right about pictures make things look mild. I could always tilt the camera and make it look real scary.

Only time I could go would be next Sunday. After that you have Christmas and New Years all family time there......

Dave,

I will be getting disconnects as soon as I find out if the one I want (Currie Anti Rocks) will support a future lift. Also working on a Tummy Tuck... so by Jan... I should be better able to tag along on any run you come up with..

And I got some Schweet pics of you trying to do some funky stuff...

(I know.... but its all new to me).
