Mud In Ocotillo Wells

Went out sunday to County Line Rd in Ocotillo Wells. Had some new riders and a small guy on a quad so just did a relaxing trail ride through Shell Reef and out to Pumpkin Patch. Did make it over to blow sand and was able to climb it easily, even went up the steep "down" side which I'm usually not able to make with stock tires (getting new tires for Xmas)

Mek,

If Matt didn't have a habit of rolling them... I would just loan him one of mine.

I just bought a 08 X hardtop and would be interesed in doing some runs with some seasoned vets. I got about 2300 miles on it already (can you tell I love it??) and I am having a blast. The wrangler really is an incredible machine!

Well, stick around in this thread, we are always going somewhere a stock jeep could have plenty of fun at. You should take your jeep up palomar while there is still snow, make sure you take someone with you though.

Yeah ya missed Palomar over the weekend, cold, muddy, snowy, fun.

Next big run is Superstition Mountain on 1-18-08. here's a link:

http://www.sd4wheel.com/

It seems there's a good number of us going out for it. Would like to plan a trip out to the desert between Christmas and New Year, possibly even New Year weekend. And still want to get up to Big Bear before the big snow hits.

Anytime you're ready just say the word.

And Eric, did you get that overheat thing resolved? I can squeeze out a free day this week...

I am planning to take off work all of christmas week and would be very interested in a run one day or perhaps overnight and superstition sounds like a good time too; is there a limit to how many can go?

spiralbrain, pix from palomar run a couple of pages back.

My bet on that overheating is that something got sucked into the cooling system and is blocking it. I think ive limited my choices on a new jeep down to about 4. Gotta do a bit more digging on them to make sure they are good without frame problems/repairs also a problem free driveline. I care less about the look of the paint since I can do that myself if I get the time.

Whats been up guys? I havent been on here in forever!

Eric, I had some problems with the water pump on my old YJ. After I replaced it and ran a cooler Thermostat I had no more problems.

I have a popping sound coming from my front end now. I think it may be my swaybar or trackbar. Anyone wanna help me figure it out?

Mike
