I ran the Desert Safari with my stock 2.5 L.O. ( same as yours) the first time I went. Had a blast! Since you are so close, you really out to come. BTW, do you really have a68w Uniden? Is it a race radio? I run CB (yuck) and 2 meter ham on the trail plus HF in camp.

Smog suggestions

Need suggestion - Jeep friendly smog place in San Diego. My jeep has Vortec v-6 conversion with Calif state referee sticker, but every two years when getting smog check I get dummies who seem like they have never seen such a thing. Last time tried to scan the sticker in my 1/2 doors which are from a completely different jeep. Have had fail because of this or that.... but after going back to referee station it passes. Need to start process again.
Any suggestions?

Took the kids out for some fun this weekend....

Matt and my SKS....

Matt and my .357, Erika and her new Ruger 10/22, my grandson Nathan with his AR-7, and Erika's friend Maddie with her Remington 22.

We shot so many different firearms I forgot half of them. Matt has decided my SKS is now his SKS. Not.
Took lots and lots of Tanerite, made big bang noises. Fun times. the weather in Arizona was amazing.

Here's a pic of one of those plastic corrugated signs you see on corners. The little orange plastic ear plug box has Tanerite in it. There was one at the bottom but my daughter hit it. That is like a teaspoon full in that little case that does that much damage.
We put a ziploc bag with about a half ounce on a dried up log about two feet long. Matt hit the bag with the SKS (.762X39mm) and the log disappeared completely. Huge bang and blue cloud.
We bought the exploding targets at the gun show in Del Mar. I was skeptical but I am buying more of it. It was fun to shoot at. I saw a video of a guy that filled a five gallon paint bucket with it and set it in a Nissan Sentra. There was nothing left of the Sentra. Stand WAAAaaaayyy back if you do something like that. Think 'shrapnel moving at 300mph'. or more.

Bronco Peak / Bronco Flats Roll Over Help

Copied from Pirate4x4.

Just got wind that someone has rolled his jeep up in coral canyon and needs assistance. If anyone in the area can help his number is 858-353-9722. Cash involved so ive been told.

I called the guy, said no one was hurt. Has a buddy with a bronco and going to try and get it back on its wheels.. Will call back if they need further assistance.

Says they believe they are on Bronco Peak#3 / Bronco Flats#5 going down hill towards Gunslinger #11

If your available to help post up and send me a PM with your phone number and I'll give you a call if needed.

Just got off the phone with him. He is driving an XJ rolled sideways on the trail. Going to camp out over night with the jeep. I'm going to see if I can find anyone to go tonight or first thing in the morning.

Mike - if he still needs help, he can also check JustRuns.com, they have a list of rescue guys who will help out. Roger, who runs it is a nice guy.

They should put a placard on the dash:
"Four wheel drive in this vehicle is ONLY for the speed bumps at the mall".

On the other hand, that sucks.
