This Rokmen rear bumper is a PITA to install. You have to pull off the rear body mounts, Remove the rear skid plate bolts, loosen the front bolts and yank on it w/o having the tank fall down. Remove the 4 carriage bolts, notch out the crossmember 3"x4" on both sides, kind of a PITA . slide the bumper on. Install the 4 new carriage bolts. MAJOR PITA!, fish for the tank strap bolts and reconnect, finesse 4 bolts into holes that you can BARELY get at. If I had to do it again, I'd just drop the tank completely. Spent the whole day just fitting it into place prior to prep and paint.

oh the best part is that I was also relocating my license pate to the top center of my tailgate. I have some lighted bolts that I used so that the plate will illuminate with the tail lights. Anyways, I used splices, solder, and heatshrink for the wiring. Afterwards, when I was underneath the jeep working on the tank I tried to get out and up from underneath. The damn soldering gun was still on and on the ground. Guess where I put my hand on ground while trying to stand up? That's right 200 lbs of weight centered onto a hot soldering gun. Needless to say I screamed like a who-knows-what and said a few derogatory words. pictures worth a 1,000 words right? Or you could just use one.... IDIOT!

normally I'd agree but it wasn't practical to use leather gloves where I was at (tight spot). I always use surgical latex gloves but mostly for the glamour of maintaining sexy hands. If I had been wearing latex gloves when I did that... well I'm not sure how that would of turned out.Burnt skin, or burnt skin with burnt plastic fused to it.
