Its a 36mm nut... Its torqued like that from the factory. If that comes loose, the drum/tire will fall off.

I actually have 5 bikes, one is my DD, 4 are project bikes (one runs and is the beater, one of them is my buddies yet somehow I got stuck with the project???).

The car is my brothers, which is fine.

The truck is my dads, which is also fine.

The GC needs the waterpump to be installed.

The YJ is a pile.

The airplanes are the weekend hobby.

So, technically, I only have 2 actual "projects", one motorcycle, one Jeep.

Your argument is now null and voided

Bro do you even lift?

Jam up one of the wheels and have your brother stand on the breaker bar?

Calsouth kills it again between the pipes. He had 5 saves to help IU beat Penn State and advance to the Finals of the BIG Ten Tournament on Sun at 11am on the BTN network. What a great birthday present for him.

I just get that stuff online and move on to something else then Brown Santa knocks on your door and that's all there is to it. It's actually cheaper even with shipping than having to drive around and around and around and then pay a mark up to boot..
And btw, redline mt90 for your trans is awesome! Made a world of difference in my ax15.

For the Beetle brake drum, use a long piece of pipe (I have a 5 foot pipe just for this nut) slid over a breaker bar. Have a helper sit in the car and press the brake. If the brakes aren't working and you have the ability, a 3 foot piece of angle iron braced between 2 lug nuts and the ground will keep the wheel from turning.

It will take some muscle to get the nut off. I've only ever had to cut one off in all my VW history.

The nuts must be tight, it's not only holding the drum on but keeping it from twisting out the splines in the drum. I've seen the splines cut smooth by the axles many times.

Afterwards MAKE SURE to use a cotter pin! I've seen drums come off a few times as well!
