So who is the one that is selling LED bars in here? I decide to go to Baja 1000 at the last moment and need some extra lighting. I also need a winch guard (grill guard) to mount the lights on. Any advise or help is greatly appreciated not looking to spend Rigid prices on the light$.

You can check out crawloffroad.net the owner Chris is a member here. Great guy to work with and has good prices. He carries most of the typical generic LEDs that are around these days.

Anybody in here know how to do drum brakes and would like to lend a hand? I've never done them, and I want to do a full brake job all around the beetle before it goes on the road. Will be willing in pay in beer and food or cash.

In case you didn't know, new they run ~$540+ each.

$750 gets you 5. One (the best tread depth of ~1/2") has a sidewall gash that I have a big patch & glue for, and an inner tube that can be ran as a spare. The rest have ~3/8" tread depth.

That's not a bad deal and those would be a ton of fun, but I'm not even sure how well these KM2s I have are going to fit. Maybe here in a few months if you still have them I might try to snag them from you.

Interesting fact today.. Had to get my jeep smogged and they weighed it. 4360 lbs. 97 sport 4.0 off the lot weighs 3832. My jeep needs to go on a diet. It's picked up 528 lbs of weight over the yrs.... Add my fat *** and that's 730 lbs of constant towing. No wonder she lags on those uphill climbs. Time to shave some steel for aluminum.

So I got a question. If I'm a high emission polluter (so says the state of CA)
then why havent I failed a smog check in 16 yrs and my numbers are less than 1/2 of the max's?
Maybe to just get money out of me every two yrs at a test only center? Well chalk another 50.00 down the drain.... Makes me wanna move to AZ that much more!

Something to do with Jeeps having a high failure rate, my assumption is because of the 87-90 4.2L YJ's with all of their carb problems.

Kevin, the key to the answer is the High Emitter PROFILE. Yes, your Jeep does show very good numbers,(congrats) but a great many of them do not. Your Jeep just matches the profile. It's all a numbers game, anyway. To show the EPA that CA is cleaning up its air.
