sounds like sidewinder is a good warm up / shake down run, its not hard or anything I'm sure you can do it open the whole time unless you want to pick the harder line towards the end of the trail.

you could do bronco too and skip the connector for now. I just don't know what the state of bronco peak is at the moment

I was thinking you were going to give me a ring Saturday. Perhaps I misunderstood.

Yea, its basically in a mock-up state, so yea it will get painted but I don't plan on welding the brackets on.

IMO these discs are a downgrade in stopping power as compared to the drums I removed. I mainly did it to loose weight and be a cool kid. I will see if they perform reasonably after I get it back on the road & report back.

If they go what tire are you replacing them with?
Also if you go 40" flavor leave the diff housing alone, cutting the bottom out of it really is not good for the strength and integrity of the housing
Like climbit mentioned, I got a set of 39 sticky's to replace them.

Interesting you are of the opinion not to shave it if 40's were in its future.

Cutting the bottom of a 14 bolt housing seriously comprises it's strength.
You'll see what I am talking about once you take the carrier out and look at the material thickness of the housing.

Sorry about Saturday Joe. I ended up getting hung up and didn't get much done.

Got the bender all finished up today though.

Had to source some longer bolts to space the support brackets out enough to fit the swing arm for the ram.

Now it just needs a die

Is that ram made for it or is that built?

It's an HF 8 ton air/hydro ram I got with a 40% off coupon.

The mount is the Swag OffRoad ram mount. It works with the standard sideways mounting of the JD2 as well as like this.

I only built the vertical mount so I could move it around.

Yep, I have seen lots of pics of it being done, but not firsthand.

No worries. Looks like the stand came out well.

BTW: Looks like you painted it the same color as my brake/axle stuff.

Vertical is better. We had ours flat and it took forever to bend. With it vertical the oil stays in the bottom and bends way faster.

Nothing like having to go 40 ft off the ground with a harness on a scary a55 lift to troubleshoot a rudder actuator on a 757 at 330am. At least it wasnt bad weather...
