The cop also claimed that if I fight it, he will pursue the reckless driving charges. Can he do that after he already issued me the speeding ticket?

WOW!!!! The Cop must be an idiot. You really should fight it, you'll probably get it dismissed on a technicality.

I highly doubt it.. At that point being that its 10 over its hardly wreckless. I don't think he could even if you were. He'd be reprimanded since he didn't site you for wreckless in the 1st place. That's fear tactics IMO.

If @ 1st you don't succeed, grind it, hammer it, weld it, drink a beer and try again.

btw if you decide to fight it. ask for radar calibration certs to ensure that it's calibrated correctly. 80% chance if you fight it, he wont even show up... It's a pita for them to have to go to court for every lil ticket they hand out.

He didn't get me on radar, nothing was written down in that section, he supposedly matched my speed according to him.

Cops are jerks! First they say they'll help you swap an axle, and then they have to go to 'work'....

its been a couple years for me. Clinton (wtracing) went up last weekend and said he made it up without winching (35s). i know the regular bronco peak trail was pretty rough when Jeff, Ken and I did it last (cpl months ago)

HA!! i've had a LOT of speeding tickets in my past, which in part is why i did away with sports cars in general. in my experience with them, two things are true:
1)you almost NEVER get off
2)i was actually speeding and deserved a ticket.

i'm guessing both are true. quit speeding. and dont bicker with the guy when he pulls you over. that will never help. you really want to take the approach of "get on teh knee pads" when dealing with a cop. that and honesty IE: yea, i know why you pulled me over, i was driving like an a-hole.

good luck dude. slow down

I walked up it on my 35's about three or four weekend ago.never even put it in reverse Was very fun. But not even as hard as your describing. We did not pull the winch for anyone. And there were 5 of us all on 35's

Ill also add that we came DOWN it at the end of our day. That made things a lil more Interesting But still no one got stuck or rolled or anything. Very fun lil section
