Ask Taylor if you can borrow mine after he gets me a replacement from bending mine.

That, or do what Blaine suggested

What Mike said.

Border Parts is on the east side of Bancroft just south of hwy 94.

They are an old school parts store - you'll see what I mean when you go there. Also, parts are priced according to your attitude and demeanor. John makes them up as he goes.

What the f***sickles. The damn Cherokar's alarm decided to flip a b**** on me at the mall. An hour of f***ing with it and I finally discovered the door switch that turned it off. PO tossed out the lock cylinder and disconnected everything with it, so I had to find the switch. Turned it off and the thing ran like a top.

I agree with you Joe, he throws out prices depending on his mood. I just pick up both upper and lower ball joins from them for $45. I think that's a great price for Spicer ball joints. Too bad I can't install them. :/

Haha poor Roberto. Your jeep outsmarting you again? The paint job on the knuckles for your new brakes is worthy of a museum. I wonder who did that

Roberto, when I had to get my knuckles off while I was breaking down my 30 I just used a pickle fork and a bfh they will come off no worries! I also used a lil bit of heat from a propane torch if that made a difference I'm not sure, but they came off after a number of wacks. If you break the rental tool, so what!

Paint > pickle fork.

I have a ball joint press but I'm stuck at my real job until later this afternoon.

A pickle fork is the last thing you need to take knuckles off. A pry bar and hammer to the side of the joint works every time.

Well a fork won't get them off but it'll seperate your knuckles assuming u needed that done. To get the new ones on, use a press

Both autozone and Orreily's have the same cheap tool. If any one has a better tool, please let me know.

Thanks
after bending an HF press, I rented the one from oreilly... worked fine.

No break upgrade yet, I was just replacing my pads for some Black Magic pads. And found out my lower ball joint was gone.

Thanks JBolty I was able to get the ball joint out.

I figured out what was the issue with the tools I borrowed, both were missing the small peck to replace the smaller ball joints.

So this boy/young man stopped by to talk to me about asking my daughter out to the prom. He’d asked my daughter and she told him he needed to talk to me. (Yeah, I’m proud of her). It was John Yoo, former Justice Department Official, who said we could waterboard enemy combatants. By the time we finished having a chat, I think he may have felt he’d been waterboarded. At least he was clear on my expectations of how he was going to treat my daughter and the consequences otherwise. Now I just need to clean my gun.

So anyone free to come by my place tomorrow and help me get these u-joints replaced? I managed to get the rear one out at the axle side. The others, not so much. I'm off at 1230 and should be home by 1. Need this done tomorrow because I'll have to get my loaner car back to my grandma on Monday.
