Those are some dirty girls. As a matter of fact, they look dirtier than the guys... what were you guys doing with them up there? (and where were you guys in those photos?)

Is it bad that all I noticed in those pictures is how sexy my old jeep is?

So again, where were you when you took those pics? Looks like a fun close-to-home area.

Oh, thats Corral Canyon. We hit some of Bronco Peak and all of Sidewinder. I've hit it all before in my Rubi, but I gotta admit it was a blast in stockers!

I went up there last year when my jeep was stock it was a lot of fun, the guys with the full set up, gear, lift, lockers, were a little pissed when they saw the stocker rolling up the same trail, wondering why they spent all this money. This weekend will be my break in run since the BB swap to the 4" w/ controll arms. I'll have pics on sunday

I'm sure you'd be ok, there is always the not so difficult lines to take and tow straps to get you unstuck.

I have 4 now...

look up the old threads.. I am pretty happy about my 67 J3000 jeep truck.

New engine in the Grand wagoneer is going to get fired up this weekend. Then I start on the lift for it... then I get to work on my truck... The waggy is for Kathy. Once the truck is done... I make the decision on which Wrangler I will make my trail rig... the 90 YJ or the 06 rubicon LJ

Planning on heading up to Corral Canyon this Saturday morning too. Got two TJ's going. I'm going up to break in the new axles on mine, see if they fall off or not and the other TJ is a virgin, never been off-road, should be fun. Haven't got the air hooked up to the lockers on mine yet but I can at least get it into 4WD now.

What time are y'all heading up that way? Anytime but o'dark-thirty is good. We're coming out of downtown SD.

Carnage at Corrral Canyon

So we decided to make a quick run out to Corral Canyon today, two TJ's, for some fun in the dirt. Did Sidewinder, lots of fun, did Bronco Peak, had a blast, feeling invincible, life is good.

Then we saw this sign that said something about extreme rockcrawling, Danger Will Robinson, Danger. Yeah sure, whatever and yeah, the map at the trail head says not recommended, etc etc, but hey, what could be so bad?? We just did every trail out here in both directions but this one, no problem, testosterone rules!!! Go for it.

So what could be so bad?? Well, how about smacking a hole in a rear differential? Or maybe winching out over the rocks for four hours. Or various bashes, dent, scrapes. Or, for the grand finale, sliding off a rock and rolling mine? Very glad that a tree was right there, sorta. It did save me from going all the way over and down to the bottom by a faster route than I wanted. But it sure hurt. Nice scar though.

All in all, a great day wheelin, and d@mn it IS dirty out there, and hotter than... Oh, and to add insult to injury, it started raining just as we limped to the end of the trail. I haven't been that dirty in years.

D@mn that was a fun day. Wrenching time tomorrow and get ready for the next trip.
