If it's a SM465 it should have two PTO ports on the bottom both look like squares on the right and left side. The top cover should have 8 bolts, it should be about 12" long and all cast iron with vertical and horizontal ribs. The shifter will pop out with a twist of the cap on the ball. Um it also weighs almost 200lbs. Not that I have any experience with that beast.
Here are some photos I found...

I've never done one myself. And u will probably screw it up if I attempt it alone. Plus I need a place to work on it.

Are you going to amp them or run them off the head unit? Are you soldering and heat shrinking the connections or crimping? When are you planning on doing it?

Anyone know of any good short fun runs to do up in Mammoth, Bishop, Lone Pine area? I'm thinking of hitting up Laurel Lake just north of Convict Lake. Was wondering if there is anything else up there...

MJ - check out the Justruns website. They just posted up a couple of runs up there, Cerro Gordo, Monache Meadow, Alabama Hills in Lone Pine.

No amp, just going to go with the head unit for now. If I don't like that, then I plan on getting a mini amp. I prefer to solder and heat shrink the connections. I would like to do it as soon as possible.

If your not running an amp, then the stock wiring will be fine.
Not sure how long it will take but I am off work and at my house by 1630 everyday (I also have 3 year old helper that may drive me crazy), or available this weekend or the 4th. Give me a date and time so I can make sure it works. I have a solder, irons, heat guns and heat shrink and know the stock TJ speaker wiring quite well since I was troubleshooting my stock sub a few weeks back. Or if all else fails you can borrow any of what I mentioned.

Is it out of the Jeep? If so, I have a workbench....and I don't need beer.
