Climbt, do a google on mixing rubber with poly. I believe I had read that if you mix mounts you could potentially break something in your drive train. If I remember correctly, it happens during high torque moments on your drive train and the difference the rubber gives compared to the poly. My assumption is when everything is rubber or poly, they all move relatively the same, when mixed you have more twisting action taking place which could snap something. Of course I don't know if our 4.0 ever have a high hp or torque moment. Just somehting I believe I have read about, then again I might have been high off tequila and completely fabricated this. Check it with a quick google search...

It's the west end of trail that runs from the top of the Vallecito Creek mesa area to Fish Creek in Anza Borrego. It's the usual route to get back to the S2 after running the Pinyon Mt/Squeeze/Heart Attack Hill trail.

The actual Diablo Dropoff is just west of this trail and it truly is a drop off. The old road ended with no warning at about a 100+ foot drop, it's been closed since the last vehicle failed to stop at the top several years ago, ouch

What would I have to do to be able to swap in a Rubi case out of 08 into my 97?

Thanks. I'll let you know. I don't know how long the bell housing has been cracked. I would prefer to replace it but welds are good if done right.
I miss driving my Jeep now that the weather is so good.

is it any different than a 03-06 rubi t-case? If not, then just the speedo and shift linkage would be it. My dad has an 05 rubi case in his. He used the Novak T-case cable and got the speedo to work with the supplied stock wires

He's got a 97 TJ with the 4.0 and AX-15. The t-case is out of an 05 Rubicon. Since the JK uses wheel speed sensors, you wont have a speedo. It will bolt up though. You're better off getting a TJ rubi tcase

Yea I just say the speedo problem which would to a code being thrown. That would lead to check engine light and not being able to pass smog Im sure its correctable with some aftermarket gizmo but sounds like more money than it is worth

as far as I know, the JK T-cases do not have a speedo sensor, they use wheel speed sensors.

I'm interested in knowing what that gizmo would be? Without a VSS output from the t-case, where else would you get it on a TJ?
