Looks like theres alot of new people around here, and alot of the regulars we all know and, anyways.Hoping someone has a welder,i brought my race car down here and ended up needing to change the gear ratio.I found a center section with the right gears. It is a 10-bolt toyota drop out center section that i need the spider gears welded to lock it up.should only take a few minutes to weld it up.Next race is next sat. at barona. If anybody can help would be really appreciated.

So went out and had some fun yesterday in the TJ. I let Xpress drive it through a mud pit, and not I get "NO BUS" across my gauge cluster where my mileage is at, and ALL my gauges just die out. We googled it, and found like a lot of different solutions to the problem, but has anybody here had this issue?

I have a 220V Miller 175 MIG with a mix tank that should do the trick.

I'm headed out for a bit, but you can try calling me. I'll PM you my cell number.

Fairly common problem, for the heck of it try unplugging the cluster connectors and plug them back in and see what happens. The instrument cluster is ECM data driven so when ever there is a bit of a poor connection in the data bus wiring it will give this error

also, you can use try using some contact cleaner on the connections to clean them out, and coat it with dielectric grease so it doesn't happen again.

or you could just not mud anymore.

That's not, gonna happen. Haha. My dad came out this morning and asked me why my Jeep was so dirty. I told him, I went mudding. He shrugged his shoulders, and walked away haha. I think my pops has some die electric grease so I'll take apart the dash and get the instrument cluster out and clean the harnesses and put some die electric grease in them. Jeep drives fine, I just won't want to be guessing how fast I'm going to work tomorrow morning, haha.

That's basically what we (I) concluded, was a bad or intermittent connection.

nice!

I'm going to vegas next monday for a convention.

in other news, I picked up the 2x4x.250 for some new rear bumper mounts. after looking at the tube, I'm considering just tapping it directly instead of making a new nutstrip. any reason not to do this?
