The transformation is almost complete!
Anyone know what the torque rating for the bellhousing to tranny bolts are? and maybe the engine to bellhousing bolts too?
I just need an external-style throwout bearing (27.99), a retainer clip for the shift fork (?), and a rubber boot for the shift lever for where it enters the tranny's column (9.99). Otherwise the engine and tranny are ready to make some mechanical love.
As soon as I can order the SYE (Dec 23rd) and it arrives (1-2weeks later) I can finally do the physical swap
After that just a matter of random parts and connecting wires/hoses/etc/etc/etc.

On a different note picked up a hobart 187 today. Let the fab work begin.

So I'll see you there?
And you'll love the HH187. I have a 140 and love it. If I had 220 at my house I'd have the 187

I appreciate the invite but that is a long drive for me.
Good luck in NC. I hope you find some wheeling buds there and some decent trails.
Stay in touch right here in the SD forum.

Chris,
I wish I could make it but I'm working tomorrow and will be staying in OW. Good luck in NC. I've been there and it's nice. Enjoy your new job and hopefully we'll see you in a couple years.

Y'all take it easy on the south! I spent 16 years in SC and that's where I met and married my wife. Lots of real people back there and the food and fishing is fantastic too. Muddin' does kinda suck though

I deeply regret that I won't be able to join you Chris.
I know the feeling and hassles of moving all too well Chris. We moved 21 times in the 20 years I spent in the nav.
You'll be missed, and I certain hope to see you sometime in the future. You have my number - call anytime.

I wish I could attend but I'm on my way to Yuma for work. This sounds like a good time.

I was wondering if any of you guys knew what the people at ecology were charging for axles. Looking to swap from my 3.07's to 4.10's or if im lucky I'll find 4.56's. If there isn't a huge price difference between Hp30 and just a regular old dana 30 I would consider that along with maybe a dana 44 for the rear. The main thing I'm looking to get out of it is the gearing and if strength is possible on my High School budget than I wouldn't pass it up.
