You guys should see the progress Chris is making on his YJ. He's got the Dana 60's mounted spring over axle, huge ground clearance on the 37's with room for 40's or bigger, he twisted the key and the V8 fired right up.
That is going to be one badass YJ when he's finished. I'm impressed with his progress so far.
Mine will still out perform his on the trail tho'.

Anyone familiar with Big Bear trails?
My buddy and I plan on running deep creek to Crab Flats on Saturday and we want to run john bull also. What is the easiest way to get from crab flats to JB?
Any trail suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Where on the web can I find the best map to plan this run myself?

They are requriring an Adventure Pass for the Crab Flats area now, and i think for holcomb Creek too. Not sure about John Bull.
Crab Flats is best accessed from Fawnskin.
Maps are available on line for the entire area.
We were just on the Crab flats trail last week. Does somebody in your group have a winch? You may need it.

A part of me wishes I had but this 4.2L block has better things ahead of it and my wallet definitely wouldn't have been able to handle it :P in another life time perhaps.

The Block is getting dressed! Still needs to have the water pump bolt repaired.
So I can get this emissions check light working when I do the engine swap right? I do need to decide if I want the Up Arrow or the EMISS MAINT to be my check engine light :-p

|
I hate to always be Debby Downer but if you are going to have Kenyon come get the block to fix that bolt I would strip off everything. They may not even take it with the distributor in place; too much chance for breakage when horsing it around.
I used the Emiss Maint light for my "Check Engine" It's wired kind of weird. It gets power from a central source and the timer controls the ground, so it won't work as a normal CEL light which is always grounded and powered as needed. What I did was pull the bulb and use a new teeny bulb from radio shack with two normal wires on it; just stuck it in with a wee little dab of jb weld to hold it in place.

No, I figure they won't want all the little things attached. I did tell them it had been dressed at the time, they said if their guy is worried he will have me remove it when they show up. They haven't called me back to pick it up yet but bcuz of an unexpected bill and the fact I haven't got the oil pan back on since i can't flip this thing by myself I'm glad they possibly forgot for right now.
If I have to maybe I'll be able to find a way to get it there myself to save me 30$.
Are bolt extractors the best means to remove these windshield hinge brackets? I hear they are a real pain in the donkey to remove.
