It actually came down from the last quote I got. When I was there a month ago asking they quoted me $5.75 a foot for 1.75" x .120 Wall.

Today I bought 34 feet of 1.75" x.120 Wall DOM for $4.50 a foot!!! It came down over a buck from the last quote! (34 feet because they are currently in 17' sticks so I just bought 2)
And I got 34 feet of 1.25" x.120 Wall DOM for $3.48 a foot!!!
Where do you get DOM for that price?? I need some for my Jeep cage...
Thanks.

If we finish the camper this weekend you could park it in the back and sell the other trailer and the camper and then we could rebuild this one, grab the turbo kit that's on CL, paint the truck/trailer to match your Jeep, use the camo netting that's in the back, what could possibly be the downside??

Didnt know what IMS was, I live in North county so I havent been out that way, I normally use Lee's, or Escondido Metal supply.

Guess I will need to look into them, worth the drive if the price is that low.
Thx.

I have normally found IMS to be expensive, unless you find something in the scrap bin, but metal prices have been up and down a lot lately so it pays to shop. I got the angle for my sliders at escondido metal and at the time they charged 50 cents/lb for scraps.

Good thing about IMS is being close by and they have a great selection.

agreed. Service is pretty good there too. guy running the forklift helped me load the sticks up onto the roof of my Ram. (that was interesting but with a 6 foot bed there was no way I could put the 17 foot tubes in it) I was very pleasently surprised with the price. Like I said, last time i was in to get my rocker patch panels cut I asked for a DOM quote and it came in around $5.75 ft. i expected it to be the same or even a bit more, not over a dollar less! I consider that a good score

My Jeep has one on a sticker under the hood (the diagram in the Chilton's book is wrong). I will snap a pic when I get home if you still need it.

I think a guy with a 92 gave me one that'll work.
  1. Vapor canister to tank/front vacuum fitting on intake/aircleaner.
  2. Air cleaner to Front Fitting on Valve Cover then to Fuel Regulator.
  3. Rear Valve Cover Fitting to middle vacuum fitting on intake.
  4. MAP sensor to rear intake vacuum fitting.
I still don't know where 1 thing from the intake manifold goes.... under the Throttle Body there is a brass fitting coming out in the direction facing the driver side? Is that the fuel line?

He got his diagram from autozone's website so I suppose its right.

anyone who wants to lend a hand or just point and laugh is welcome to it.
