Well you all missed a good day of wheeling.

I waited for my intended victims and NOBODY SHOWED... So I run up to the top by myself. Slippery as hell, run out the back and drive down to twin oaks.. I see a jeep all jacked up and fixing a tire, being the jeeper that I am, I stop and offer help. He doesn't need help as it turns out but is meeting a couple of others and going up where I just was. They invite me along and I head back up. We get to the water tower and head up the tough section, you know, the one that makes Matt soil himself. Two of them make it and then the one in front of me flops. Stormtrooper will remain nameless as to not offend. Remember the hard decent at the top of this section? well we went up it wet. that was fun... Then we tried a section that I have been the only one to do before. Keep in mind, it was wet... I NEEDED A STRAP 8(....

Oh well.. good day of wheeling. I promised to post the pictures I got of the flop but they are on my phone. I will get to it today hopefully.

JPJ,
here's the picture of my flop out at LW.

Took a good look at the jeep when I got it home. Some minor damage. I have a small dent in the "A" pillar, the soft top frame is slightly bent. Other than that there was no damage.

Unfortunate that it happended, but its what we try to be prepared for, and we were. Thanks for your help. We all had a great time.

Steve

Cheers, Steve

So how come you flopped? Bad line? Conditions?

The line I took had me very tippy. I had a rear right tire way up on a dirt mound and the front left in a hole. I've eased out of situations like this many times with light application of throttle. I should have backed up and got a different line. Instead it just gently rolled over on its side. No real drama, but a little embarrassing. This was my first. Now I can't tease my wife anymore who did the same thing last year. Here's the picture of that:

Cheers, Steve
