So its a bit off the Jeep topic but I have 2 antique/classic jukeboxes that need maintenance and new homes. Does anyone have any experience with the electronics of these beasts? I've got one of them to the point the lights turn on and the speakers produce faint static.

how old is old? pictures?

you might be better leaving them alone and let a collector fix them. If you break something in might destroy any value.

PS, sorry the hear about your family issues.

My ex broke both my digital cameras so I can't really get a picture. They are Seaberg brand and stand about 6ft tall. Actually thats what the one I've seen is, I've never seen the 2nd jukebox its been in storage my whole life and I just learned it existed yesterday. The seaberg uses those smaller vinyls all of which seem to be clean as a whistle.

I looked inside after turning it on a 2nd time and the lights all still work and the speakers still produce some white noise but I can see that those big bulb transistor majiggers are burnt and the parts inside a couple are glowing molten red when powered up. (vacuum inside leaked?)

We plan to sell both, haven't decided if the vinyls will be included/separate. The one I have on hand will need lots of love, its been sitting for decades in a patio and been on the side yard covered for a couple months. Needs paint etc. Once I see the other I'll let you know its condition.

---

When Heather comes by next I'll have her bring a camera and try to snap some shots with hers, might be a while since we have conflicting schedules at sea world.

Today is the solstice. Today is the "longest" day of the year with there being 14 hours and 9 minutes of daylight. Starting tomorrow they get "shorter" again.
