There is a group of veried wheelers heading to Borrego Springs on May29. The plan is to run up Coyote Canyon to the end at Sheep Canyon. Maybe have luch there or head back to Christmas Circle and eat there. After lunch gas up if needed then head to Split Mt, up the Diablo Drop Off and end at the I8 in Ocatillo. This is suitable for stock 4x4's and is family friendly.
We will be heading out at 7:30am from the 7-11 by the Lakeside Rodeo or if you want to meet in Borrego, meet at Christmas Circle around 9am.
Hope to see some new faces!

Yep, I have a front one in stock, but can always make another if you are looking for a rear, or a different design.

All depends on the cost and your plans. Depending on miles and condition the blue book for a 2000 XJ is from 2000 to about 3500.

I have to think that buying a short block, paying to have it put together and installed has got to cost in the neighborhood of $2000.

Agreed. I think he is entering into a project that is going to leave him upside down financially.

Well if your like me, every new vehicle I have owned I put the first mark in it. Then the rest became easier to swallow.

So here is an interesting problem.

I have a buyer for the GI Joe truck. He is in Utah but might be down here with a buddy in a couple of weeks and can pick it up with a flat bed, as opposed to driving it home. The problem is that it's not a tilt truck, just a regular flatbed semi. So, I need to find a hill side or an loading dock or a dirt pile that can be used for loading the thing on a truck. Somewhere within a reasonable distance of Clairemont.

Keep your eyes peeled.

I like owning it, but I am just not using it enough to justify having it sit in the yard. I can tow the jeep in air conditioned comfort with the Tahoe.
