Right now i do industrial electrical construction and maint. but it looks like this facility is going to close, and the company is going to only use Long Beach. With construction so slow right now, and the rest of the shop only working a few days a week, im going to go out on my own as an Electrical Contractor, hoping to focus on Commercial, SCADA and Solor systems. But right now all i can find is residential for sidework.
Ill keep an ear out for any oppertunites and let you know.

Yea, jobs seem to be at an all time low right now.
I use to do solar hot water years ago. I was interviewed last week twice for positions. We'll see if anything becomes of them.
I like the solar photovolactic thing going on right now. I can foresee that possibly taking off in a good direction. Should be easy to install & from what I was told by a company president last week - warranty is 25 years.
I'm suppose to be called back later today by another guy......

Unemployment in California is at 13.7% right now. And that's ONLY the ones still on unemployment compensation. That's how they get the numbers. It doesn't account for all the people that didn't file for it or the benefits ran out. So probably it's more realistic at 20%.
A life of crime (politics) is the only way to make money now. Obama is hiring as many government workers as he can. Last week in a speech he said they are not hiring the government workers fast enough.
Solar is really getting pushed right now. It's a good business to be in.

Did some researching this week on the noise my Cherokee is making. Thought it might be a rod knock or piston slap. I'm 90% sure the flexplate is cracked now. Ordered one today, so hopefully next weekend I get to drop the tranny and replace it. I pulled the valve cover today on the off chance it was a flat lobe on the cam. No luck there. Well actually it's going to be easier dropping the tranny.
