$50?

Even on half price days you aren't escaping for under $130.

I'll be there; whereever it is.

Pick-a-part in San Bernadino sells them regular sunny day price all week long for $119 out the door no core charge.
If it's raining when you go in it's half price day.
They had four or five YJ's there last time we went.

I just called there to confirm the price and see if they had any in stock.
The bone head that answered the phone said they've only gotten two since they opened years back, and both were '89 and '90 with ABS brakes, and they cost, WHEN they had them, anywhere from $500 to $800 depending on the year.
We were there three weeks ago and they had four of five with the axles still under them. AND, the Wrangler didn't even come with ABS until '94.
I tried to explain it to him, but he rudely said "I've been working here for eight years, so I think I would know what we have and what it is".
I asked him if I called the right place, and he confirmed it to be.
What a moron.
Last time we were there, there was a chart on the wall with prices listed. Front Jeep differential= $119.
It's like my ex wife when she got her first job after coming here from Ecuador... True story.
She barely spoke English, so of course the manager at the Del Taco put at the drive up window. Where else would they put her?
So a customer comes to the window, finally gets his order in, and she asks:
"Is that for here or to go"?
Not sure why that guy was answering the phone either.

must be a san diego thing. down here they charge core + enviro fee + tax on your $2 admission + I think some other add on.

I think the core on an axle is about $25, regardless of the price.

last time I bought an 8.8 from ecology, not on sale, it was about $185 out the door.

That will happen when you spend 10 hours a day in front of a computer.

I wonder if I'll catch Jerry?

I worked the guy pretty well and he actually doesn't know much about jeeps but thinks certian things are worth more than they are but I am getting a great deal on the doors so I don't want to push it. He didn't even know what kind of axle was in it he thought it may be some sort of Dana.
Well if you can get both axles for about 400 that have 4.10 gears and want to change to 8.8 later you will already have the 4.10 to use while waiting. it's a win win deal.

Everyone's cool, just not as cool as me, but that's another story.

OAUSA is a good group to get involved with if HAM radio is high on your list of important stuff in your life. And like any other other forum/group on-line they are a good source of information, not the end-all, absolute best, but then no single forum is...

Keep in mind that it is run, in essence, by a business and they will and do promote that business as a part of the forum.

Nothing bad to say...

Does anyone local to me (clairemont) have an ODB-II scanner I can use/borrow? All the parts stores stopped doing scans.

Jeff -

I'll be at MCAS Miramar in about 90 mins. Want to meet somewhere close to that?
