Question for you guys

My Jeep has had a motor change
1988 wrangeler with 1998 Chev vortec V6 engine.
Passed smog just fine 2 years ago and before.
Now they say Cat is aftermarket and not "certified" and
I have to have an OBD II cat since the motor is 1998.
I thought the year of the vehicle (Not the motor) dictated requirements?

Any help here will be appreciated

Thanks
Chris

Year of the motor rules for engine swaps and smog requirements.

hello fellow San Diego jeepers!!!
Do you guys know of a tire shop that will offer a good price on a set of 35" Goodyear Wrangler MT/R Kevlar or BF Goodrich Mud Terrain T/A KM2 in San Diego county?
I cant decide between those two styles, Ill probably just end up buying the ones where I get the best offer in

New or used?

Costco has about the best prices, Discount Tire is close behind.

If I had a choice I would go with the MT/R's

And in other news:

Installed an OrFab Tire Carrier today

bought a used KM2 last week from a place in chula, 35", for $70 mounted and balanced. I have no idea of the name of the place but it was on a busy corner of main street with a lot of off road tires.

that's it on steve's jeep two posts up

Besides the directions suking big time, not bad

Having LED taillights and corner guards changed things considerably. Had to modify the driver's side mount and all of the bolts were too short because of the extra body armor.

Hope you don't mind drilling through the body, there's a lot of holes to drill.

Be sure you have a good torx set and get the bit well-seated (you have to take the door off and I stripped two heads)

Well worth tho, much nicer setup than what was on there, opens and closes easily and no rattles.

I hated opening the tailgate before, now

I was there and got to hear some words that my 'virgin' ears had not heard in a long time

The installation was fun once we figured out what part went where and drilled the holes.
